Part of my birthday present to myself was the shirt I am wearing in these photo's. Wee. This is what I wore to go get pizza on Sunday. Cute right?

Last night I went with Brit and we got matching anchor tattoos.
At first I was not into the idea of matching tattoos with a friend. My mom and I have matching dragonfly tattoos on our right outside ankle. She picked the design and I picked the placement. Everyone we've ever talked to has said that was adorable. Family is one thing but friends? Brittany and I fight a lot. A LOT. We truly are the world biggest bitches to each other and we have done some pretty hateful things to each other too. But in that same regard we know we have someone to go to when we need some sense knocked into ourselves. Someone who isn't going to lie, someone who isn't afraid to hurt our feelings and someone who won't judge us. Well, that last part is a lie. We judge each other all the time but at the end of the day we just kind of say whatever and move past it.
So I said what the hell and got it anyways. I actually love anchors and the whole nautical theme of things so it really wasn't hard for me to be talked into an anchor but the actual design was the worst. Brit and I wanted something small and in navy blue not black. No big deal. She wanted something very simple and plain and I wanted something a little more developed. I didn't want the tattoo to take 5 minutes and I have three black tattoos and two colored ones and I am very OCD about being even. I have two on my right side, two on my left and one on the back of my neck so I say that's the middle. So I want it in color and not just plain black.
The next awful part, keeping in mind that I want to be even and not lopsided is that I planned on getting my fox/dreamcatcher tattoo on my left thigh. So if I got the tattoo on my right I would be lopsided until I get the fox tattoo. It was just very "not simple" like Brit thought it would be. I'm fairly happy with it though.
The artist was CJ Harper at Brass Monkey Tattoo in Port Richey, FL.
